ENROLLMENT INFORMATION

Most martial arts schools require a student sign a “contract” upon enrollment.  At J4K we do not subscribe to the “contract” philosophy. 
  • $40 Trial Fee for new students to join. 
  • Trial fee includes two weeks of classes and a Gi/uniform. 
  • Regular monthly fee begins after the trial period.
  • ​One time $ 40 ​Enrollment Fee after the trial period.
  • All Students/Parents must sign a Liability-Release Waiver Form before the start of training.

MINIMUM COMMITMENT
In order to get the most out of your martial arts training, we strongly recommend training at least 2 times per week. This is the J4K minimum. 

BILLING POLICY
Accounts are handled by J4K Accounting.  All of our billing is handled through Square for automatic payment processing.  Delinquent payments will incur a $10 per week late fee.

​J4K EXIT POLICY
1) EXIT FEE - Upon exiting J4K, student/parent will be charged one month's tuition without written 30 days notice prior to exit.  At J4K we do not require locked in contracts.  We understand any family's need
​to stop training at any point, there are many instances when

payments and loose ends are left for us to resolve or chase down without warning or notice, typically after a deadline of a payment is due. This policy allows J4K to not have to use a contract based Martial Arts service upon sign-up.

BELT PROMOTION
After consistent training & proving skill achievement, discipline & J4K studio etiquette,  students will test to advance belt rank.  There are 3-4 testing events held per year.   
  • NOT ALL STUDENTS qualify to test.
  • Students DO NOT progress to rank/belt levels at the same time. 
  • A $50 Promotion Test Fee is required at every promotion/rank test. 

J4K POLICIES
  • All Students must wear a karate gi (uniform) once enrolled.  
  • Please inquire at J4K regarding t-shirt orders.
 
SPARRING GEAR
Participation in sparring begins once a student has successfully promoted to CAMO Belt.  All Students will be required to purchase sparring gear through J4K to use for sparring class.  Sparring gear includes:
  • Headgear
  • Sparring Gloves
  • Boots
  • Mouthpiece
  • Chest Guard (optional)
